Phillis Carlane Cutler Sentenced for Possession of a Controlled Substance
(Boise) - Phillis Carlane Cutler, also known as Carla Cutler, was sentenced to a two (2) to seven (7) year prison sentence, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said. Cutler was sentenced by Fourth District Judge Michael Wetherell for delivery of a controlled substance and violation of felony probation. Cutler was also order to pay $400 in restitution.
Judge Wetherell retained jurisdiction for 180 days.
Cutler, 46, of Boise was convicted of delivery of a controlled substance and for violating probation in a previous felony sentence for possession of methamphetamine. The delivery case arose on May 27, 2003 when Cutler sold 2.8 grams of methamphetamine to Boise City Police undercover narcotics officers. Cutler was arrested for that crime in addition to the violation of a three (3) year probation imposed on January 31, 2002.
The Special Prosecutions Unit of the Attorney General's Criminal Law Division prosecuted the case at the request of Ada County Prosecuting Attorney Greg Bower.
