Jason Waidelich Sentenced for Four Felonies
(Boise) – Boise resident Jason Eric Waidelich, 21, was sentenced today on one count of felony grand theft by possession and one count of felony possession of a controlled substance. Fourth District Judge Cheri Copsey sentenced Waidelich to serve at least five years and up to ten years in prison.
Waidelich pleaded guilty on February 15, 2006, to one felony count of grand theft by possession and one count of felony possession of a controlled substance. Waidelich was arrested on January 27, 2006, after a traffic stop revealed he was driving a stolen vehicle and was in possession of methamphetamine. Waidelich stole the BMW from Saturn of Boise.
Waidelich was sentenced on Thursday, March 23, 2006, for violating his probation on two prior felony counts of aiding and abetting robbery and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver. Fourth District Judge Darla Williamson sentenced Waidelich to serve a minimum of three years in prison.
Waidelich’s sentences will run concurrent.
The Special Prosecutions Unit of the Attorney General's Criminal Law Division prosecuted the case at the request of Ada County Prosecuting Attorney Greg Bower.
