Augustin Catti Sentenced to Prison
(Boise) – Augustin Catti, 24, was sentenced for aggravated battery for shooting into an occupied home, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said. Third District Judge Juneal Kerrick sentenced Catti to up to nine years in prison.
Catti, a Boise resident, pleaded guilty on August 17, 2006, to one felony count of aggravated battery. On or about June 7, 2005, Catti was a visitor to a Nampa residence being rented by Scott Wilson. Wilson and two other men allegedly beat Catti for stealing $200. In the early morning of June 9, 2005, Catti returned in a vehicle with two others, Simon Rakow and Kyle Hobeck, shooting into Wilson’s Airport Road home, injuring two people.
Rakow, 23, also a Boise resident, pleaded guilty on August 11, 2006, to one felony count of aggravated battery. He was sentenced to up to eight years in prison on October 6.
The Special Prosecutions Unit of the Attorney General's Criminal Law Division handled the case at the request of Canyon County Prosecuting Attorney Dave Young.
