Jailer Sentenced for Misdemeanor Disturbing the Peace

(Boise) – Tom Robison of Mountain Home entered a guilty plea and was sentenced today for disturbing the peace, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said. Fourth District Judge David Epis ordered Robison to serve five days in jail and fined him $250 plus court costs. The court placed Robison on probation for one year and granted a withheld judgment.

By pleading guilty, Robison, 56, a sergeant with the Elmore County Sheriff's Office, admitted that on December 17, 2012, while on duty, he shoved a female inmate knocking her off her feet inside a holding cell.

The Elmore County Sheriff's Office investigated this case, and it was prosecuted by the Attorney General's Special Prosecutions Unit at the request of Elmore County Prosecuting Attorney Kristina Schindele. Deputy Attorney General Krista Howard prosecuted the case.
